There’s nothing quite like wearing a garment that has been made especially for you.
It is with this in mind that Bortex launched its luxury Made to Measure service. Our master tailors work with clients individually to create a garment that is truly unique and artisanally-crafted to their specifications.
To avail of this service, one can book an appointment with our tailoring specialists, or with our visiting tailor who will carry out your consultation at your home or office both during as well as after working hours. “From the very first meeting through to the first fitting and finally the presentation of the completed garment, our master tailor will offer advice to ensure that at the end of the process, we present you with a garment in exactly the type of cloth that suits your requirements and fitting like a glove – and at a price to suit too”, says Sam Borg, Peter’s son.
What to expect from our Made-to-Measure service:
- Consultation
During the initial consultation meeting, the whole Made to Measure processed is discussed with the client, styling options are presented by our tailor such as fabric and choice of lining, buttons and monogramming. Detailed measurements are also taken to be able to create the client’s individual pattern.
- First Fitting
Absolute perfection requires trialling.
During this second appointment, the client will try the garment on in its half-finished state (aka Baste) to determine if any slight tweaks are required and to ensure an impeccable fit.
- Collection
A few weeks later, the exquisitely tailored garment is ready to be worn and enjoyed.
What is personalized:
The key elements of the suit are made to your liking and these can include the fabric, Fit (city, weekend), lining, monogramming, lapel, cuffs, turn-ups and pockets.
The whole process of our Made-to-Measure service usually takes six weeks. However, we also offer an express service of four weeks, at a small premium.
