How to Measure Guide

Follow our guide below to measure yourself correctly when picking the right size. Always consult our size guide if you are unsure about your size.

Womenswear

BUST

Measure the circumference around the chest and over the fullest part of the bust, while wearing a properly fitted bra. Keep the tape situated just below your armpits.

WAIST

Measure the the smallest circumference around the natural waist, just above the belly button.

HIPS

Measure the largest circumference around the hips over the largest part of the buttocks.

Menswear

NECK

Measure around the base of your neck, where your shirt collar would usually sit. Using your forefinger, allow for some space between your neck and the tape whilst measuring to ensure a comfortable fit.

SHOULDERS

Measure from shoulder tip to shoulder tip across your back.

CHEST

Measure around the fullest part of your chest and across your shoulder blades, keeping the tape situated just below your armpits.

WAIST

For Jackets and Shirts measure around your natural waistline which is the narrowest part of your waist. For trousers measure slightly below your natural waist, where you would normally wear your pants. When measuring for trousers insert your forefinger between the tape and your body to ensure a comfortable fit.

SLEEVE LENGTH

To measure sleeve length, keep your arms at a relaxed stance and measure from the tip of your shoulder to the bottom of your wrist. Our Jackets measure at the standard sleeve length which is about an inch past the wrist bone.

Sleeve length and back length help determine which jacket/suit length is best for you: short, regular or long.

BACK LENGTH

To measure back length place the tape at the tip of your shoulders down to your hips.

Sleeve length and back length help determine which jacket/suit length is best for you: short, regular or long.

INSEAM

Measure towards the inner part of your leg, from the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem to sit on the shoe.

THIGH

Measure an individual thigh, 2.5cm below the crotch. Insert your forefinger between the tape and your body to ensure ease of fit. Skip this step if you prefer a tight fit.

Childrenswear

HEIGHT

Have your child stand barefoot, and measure from their heel to the top of their head. It can be easier to make a mark on a wall or doorframe and measure their height from there.

WAIST

Measure around the natural waistline which is just above the hips, holding the tape slightly loose for a comfortable fit.
