As I opened a new word document to start writing this, my phone rang. My phone doesn’t ring often, its pesky messages mostly.
My polite friend at the end of the line asked if she was disturbing me and politely, I said ‘No! I’m about to start 500 words on Polo Dresses…..” She replied enthusiastically about how cool and comfortable they were, how easy to throw on, how she wears hers with white pumps and a denim jacket or with thong sandals and a cardigan and continued to extol the values of having multiple colours to take when travelling too as ‘they hardly crease” and “they’re great for the beach and wandering around little villages in.” “I even” she continued,” add a gold belt sometimes to wear my navy one to barbeques and casual evening events ….."
So, she hasn’t left me too much to tell you about them, the colours are different enough to have a few in your wardrobe and create a different mood with each. There’s navy and pink on the Barbour range and aqua, rose pink, watermelon red and pacific blue as well as an evening blue from the GANT collection, which is now also available in the brand new store in the revamped Bay Street Complex.
The mall has a whole host of new shop and free parking for 280 cars, there’s cafés and eateries and its shaded in the sun and covered if it rains.
The new GANT store is 126 meters squared and has a range for him too so you can all go and pick up a treat. I’ll be going at the weekend and doing what my partner does to me, and trying on one, and asking for the same size in every colour! Best thing is, there are men’s polo shirts that coordinate so we can turn up to lunches from next week looking bright and summery without looking like tutti frutti ice cream!
