Now is the time for serious pampering; us ladies need to start the bikini body prep and as more and more flesh will be exposed, need to get it ready for public viewing. Pedicures have got to be one of life’s absolute luxuries and with sandal time here any day, set time aside to do yours.
There is lots of colour around this season – choose from bold or pastel, and there is pattern everywhere! Clash it, match it, wear it however you want!
As usual, stripes and florals have taken centre stage, these can be worn together – just aim to match the width of the stripe to the size of the flower. Same goes for polka dots. Loose flowy shapes are ‘in’ and you can wear them as they are, or belt them if you want to show off your waist.
Shirt dresses are one of my favourite things, wear alone, over leggings or unbutton from the waist down over trousers or a maxi skirt. I also like to wear under knee length skirts as I hate my knees and this layering completely hides them and distracts attention to lower down the calf.
Light fabrics are needed by day and if you are running around going from one thing to the next, you can easily dress up / layer up on these. Add a denim jacket in any colour (though the blue always works), or a cardigan, which, when not being worn, can be draped over your shoulders. If at a point you need to be smart, change pumps for sandals and add a cropped fitted blazer or an oversized jacket with the sleeves rolled back.
Adding one dress to your wardrobe really does add a multitude of opportunities and with the above tips, you can easily look like you packed a 20kg bag when all this would fit into a hand luggage! Be smart with your buying, our sales teams are on hand to help too.
