My job isn’t that hard, I get to hang out with models in gorgeous clothes and share advice and tidbits of information I feel is relevant to our customers. I get to watch the design and styling team work, so I can build stories through the year and see the image editors pour over every inch of film to see what we will use as content that showcases our clothes in the best light.
These guys are just so much fun to work with; Andrea del Corso and Pierfilippo Ligotti are super professional and oh so natural that I sometimes forget I’m working. They are friends in real life too which make for an easy time on set. We literally keep the cameras rolling as you’re never quite sure what mischief they will get up to that could be the killer shot.
Shaking things up a bit this year we played with roll necks instead of wing collar shirts under a tuxedo, matched brocade waistcoats with coordinating fabric suits – and plain waistcoats with brocade suits, and then my favourite, the velvet jacket with a Winchester collar shirt. SO chic!
Here you could also wear a same colour roll neck or a crew neck; the jacket comes in teal, Bordeaux and a tartan, all of which are timeless. You could make your own look by wearing with a wing collar and bow tie, a regular French collar, or even a scarf worn as a cravat, and then add a brocade or satin finish waistcoat underneath.
However you choose to don yours, have a very good evening. I’ll see you bright eyed and bushy tailed next year.
